FLAME CONTROL & THE EFFECTIVE USE OF HEAT This stove is equipped with one or two detailed burner control knobs. This enables you to precisely regulate the flame and temperature of each burner for every outdoor cooking demand. O F F - Always check both burner controls are in the "OFF" position when connecting the propane cylinder, before lighting either burner, during non-use and storage. After using the stove, turn the burner control knobs to "OFF" first. SIMMER - The "WHITE DOT" on the burner control knob represents "SIMMER, " a very low heat setting. The "SIMMER" heat setting is somewhat susceptible to flameouts. Therefore, we recommend this heat setting not be used in gusty or windy conditions and constant attention be given when either burner is on this setting for potential flameouts. HIGH/BOIL - "EXTREMELY HOT" - delivering the most powerful flame and fuel hungry setting, "HIGH/BOIL" is ideal for canning and boiling ONLY. This heat setting can rapidly burn foods cooked on Rocky Mountain Range Custom Griddles and/or Barbecue Grill Kits. This temperature output is too hot for most cooking needs, and it should be reserved and utilized for strictly what it describes -"BOILING. " Those of you who use this stove for deep frying need to be very careful and pay constant attention to the stove when deep frying on "HIGH/BOIL". This temperature setting will quickly take oil past its flashpoint and possibly start a grease fire. We also strongly urge everyone who deep frys on this stove to use a long stem food thermometer. Constantly monitor and adjust the stove's heat output to a safe oil temperature when deep frying. MED/BBQ - A heat setting specifically designed for use with the Rocky Mountain Range Custom BBQ Grill Kits . "MED/BBQ" is a perfect way to get the hearty and zesty flavors out of everything cooked on the BBQ Grill Kit. As you become more accustomed to the flame output, just a slight turn of the burner control knob will increase or decrease the burners temperature to your desired setting. The Custom Barbecue Grill Kit is not included with the this stove and can be purchased through your Rocky Mountain Range dealer. [. . . ] Always operate the stove in the standing position with at least a 36" distance from sides of the stove to all flammable materials. This also helps the stove breathe, thus allowing the stove frame to stay cooler with the maximum oxygen flow to the burners and air vents that surround the stove. "·When boiling, turn the chrome boiling grates upsidedown so the support bars are facing up. AWARNING ALWAYS STORE PROPANE CYLINDERS WITH CYLINDER VALVE CLOSED AND VALVE CAPPED AND/OR PLUGGED. FOLLOW THE MANUFACTURES RECOMMENDATION FOR PROPER USE AND STORAGE OF ALL PROPANE CYLINDERS. , If the Rocky Mountain Range stove is not going to be used for prolonged periods of time, care should be taken to winterize the stove and cooking accessories.
