Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] To lock out SR 1L level changes (disabling the knob) yet still display current settings, disable the encoder by connecting the ENCODER LOCK terminal to the V terminal. This provides optional limited access to the level control via a key or other switch. Use with other Control Systems The standard electrical interface and simple communication protocol make the SR 1L an ideal addition to many custom installs where a programmable controller (such as an Panja or Crestron) is in use. [. . . ] The SRM 66 can also assign multiple Remotes to control a single Group. If the Group's value is altered via the SRM 66's front panel or any other SR 1L, every Remote mapped to that Group is updated to reflect the new setting. To communicate between the SRM 66 and the SR 1L Remotes, set the RIP parameter on the Memory page to SR1 (the default). The mapping of Remotes to Groups is accomplished via the Remote to Group page shown to the right. When a Memory is recalled with different mappings, every Remote is updated to reflect the current value of its new Group. Remote to Group Page, where Remotes are assigned to 1 of 6 Groups. Remotes R1 through R6 may be assigned to 1 of 6 Groups or set to Off. LEVEL Rmt->Grp Copy R1 G1 R2 Off R3 G6 R4 G4 R5 G3 R6 G2 Copy parameters of current page to clipboard. Recall[n] loads current page parameters from Memory[n], where [n]=Memory number. SRM 66 Remote to Group Assign Page Any of the Remotes may be assigned to any one of the six (6) possible Output Groups, to the Master Group or set to off. If a Groups level is altered by the SRM 66s Group Level Page (see Figure 3 in the SRM 66 Manual), then every Remote assigned to that Group is updated to reflect the new setting. If a Group Level is adjusted by a Remote, then the SRM 66's Group Level Page is updated to reflect the new setting. Each of the 24 Memories stored in the SRM 66 may have unique assignments for Output to Group, Group to Master Remote and Remote to Group parameters. This allows very flexible room combining applications and system reconfiguration. Data Sheet- SR 1L SMART DIGITAL REMOTE Chassis Rear Wiring Diagram SR 1L Wiring The SR 1L Remote interface is a powered, half duplex, (RS-485) party line system (BYOB). Five wires are required to connect an SR 1L into the SRM 66's RIP (Remote Interface Port), or other RS-485 device. Except for the optional Encoder Lock connection, each of these 5 connections must be wired. Up to seven SR 1Ls can be wired in any combination of series or star configurations for a total line length of up to 1000 feet (305 meters), [assuming the use of high quality shielded dual twisted pair cables]. Only the SR 1L farthest away from the SRM 66 should have its RT (termination) engaged (see diagram). Hook the Shield connection to the cable's shield for best emission suppression. The loop at the back of the SR 1L chassis is provided for a cable tie-wrap. [. . . ] See the "Advanced Applications" section below for more functions.
