[. . . ] The ALERT Library Management option is managed through the following Prism Management Console Web pages: · · · · Library Status allows you to view the general status of the library. Library Configuration allows you to view and edit the library configuration. Cartridge Movement allows you to load and unload tape drives as well as move cartridges to various locations in the library. Library Statistics allows you to view specific information about the library and the number of times specific functions have been performed. Service Operations allows you to perform various service and status tests on the library and view the results. Monitoring Configuration allows you to set the monitoring and status report interval. · · MC350 Prism Management Card User's Guide 53 Chapter 5 ALERT Library Management Library Status Library Status 5 The Library Status page displays the Online/Offline and Stop/Start state of the library. It also displays the physical layout of the library or libraries, if it is a PTM configuration (see figure 18). Note: In normal operation, the Library Status page may take up to five minutes to display depending on the size and configuration of your library. For PTM configurations, the On/Offline and Stop/Start library states apply only to the master frame. Note: The management frame displays the read-only Library Status page, which includes the current status of the library. Note: This page remains blank while the PMC is querying the library for status. The page periodically goes blank as the Prism Management Console page refreshes. In the Library Status area, messages regarding error conditions may be displayed. These error conditions include all failure types and other specific warning types (see table 9). Beneath the links is a display indicating the frame currently being viewed and the model of the library. Current revolutions per minute (RPM) for each of the fans (up to 6 available). If a fan speed cannot be measured or is 0, its background color becomes red to indicate a potential malfunction. The temperature displays in degrees Fahrenheit and Celsius for each fan module (which can contain one or two fans, depending on your system configuration). The management frame displays the read-only Element Information page (see figure 19) with information on a specific drive (see table 10). Note: If you add or remove drives from the library, the number of drives or bins on the Library Status page may differ from the number of drives shown on the Library Configuration page. To correct this, you must revert the library to a default configuration. This includes, but is not limited to, partition settings and Fibre Channel port mapping.
