Drain the gas tank, start the engine and let it run until the fuel lines and carburetor are empty. Never use engine or carburetor cleaner products in the fuel tank or permanent damage may occur. The electric starter is equipped with a three-wire power cord and plug and is designed to operate on 120 Volt A. C. WARNING: Do not use the electric starter if your house is not a 120 Volt A. C. Insert safety ignition key (packed separately in parts bag) into ignition slot until it clicks. After snow-throwing is completed, allow engine to run for a few minutes to melt snow and ice off the engine. Clean the entire snow thrower thoroughly after each use and wipe dry so it is ready for next use. WARNING: Do not operate snow thrower if weather conditions impair visibility. Throwing snow during a heavy, windy snowstorm can blind you and be hazardous to the safe operation of the snow thrower. MAINTENANCE GENERAL RECOMMENDATIONS The warranty on this snow thrower does not cover items that have been subjected to operator abuse or negligence. To receive full value from the warranty, operator must maintain snow thrower as instructed in this manual. Some adjustments will need to be made periodically to properly maintain your snow thrower. All adjustments in the Service and Adjustments section of this manual should be checked at least once each season. · Once a year, you should replace the spark plug and check belts for wear.
