The electric starter is equipped with a three-wire power cord and plug and is designed to operate on 120 Volt A. C. WARNING: Do not use the electric starter if your house is not a 120 Volt A. C. Serious personal injury or damage to your snow thrower could result. OPERATION COLD START - ELECTRIC STARTER 1. Insert safety ignition key (packed separately in parts bag) into ignition slot until it clicks. Plug the other end of the power cord into a three-hole grounded 120 Volt A. C. IMPORTANT: Do not crank engine more than five continuous seconds between each time you try to start. When the engine starts, release the starter button and slowly move the choke control to the "OFF" position. Disconnect the power cord from the receptacle first, then from the engine. Engine will not develop full power until it has reached normal operating temperature. Some adjustments will need to be made periodically to properly maintain your snow thrower. All adjustments in the Service and Adjustments section of this manual should be checked at least once each season. · Once a year, you should replace the spark plug and check belts for wear. NOTE: Use only Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts to service this unit. Failure to do so can cause the unit to malfunction and pose a risk of injury to the operator.
