If you do not understand the safety rules, do not attempt to fuel your unit. Contact your authorized service dealer or call 1-800-554-6723. FUELING ENGINE WARNING: Remove fuel cap slowly when refueling. Before operation, gasoline must be mixed with a good quality synthetic 2-cycle air-cooled engine oil designed to be mixed at a ration of 50:1. A 50:1 ratio is obtained by mixing 2. 6 ounces of oil with 1 gallon of unleaded gasoline. Once oil is added to gasoline, shake container momentarily to assure that the fuel is thoroughly mixed. Always read and follow the safety rules relating to fuel before fueling your unit. IMPORTANT Experience indicates that alcohol blended fuels (called gasohol or using ethanol or methanol) can attract moisture which leads to separation and formation of acids during storage. To avoid engine problems, empty the fuel system before storage for 30 days or longer. Squeeze throttle trigger and turn throttle adjuster clockwise until it stops. Turn throttle adjuster counterclockwise to release throttle trigger and allow unit to idle. If unit still doesn't start, refer to the TROUBLESHOOTING TABLE or call 1-800-554-6723. BLOWER OPERATION DIFFICULT STARTING (or starting a flooded engine) 1. Squeeze throttle trigger and turn throttle adjuster clockwise until it stops. Continue to pull rope until engine starts. When the engine has warmed up, the blower can be positioned on the back of the operator. Once the blower is positioned and ready for operation, utilize the throttle trigger to maintain an operating speed necessary to accomplish the task. NOTE: Always run the engine at idle speed for a few minutes to allow cooling before stopping the engine. SERVICE Avoid touching muffler unless engine and muffler are cold. A hot muffler can cause serious burns.
