If you want to DRY iron, set the dial (7) to the required temperature for the fabric, as shown on the dial. [. . . ] RECOMMENDED TECHNIQUE for STEAM ironing with Polti iron is APPLY steam (button 10) on the upstroke, then release button (10) (so no steam) for the backstroke, so reclosing the fibres, preventing oversteaming and wetness. The appliance is equipped with a rigid iron rest mat (11) which can be removed and put elsewhere if required.
