[. . . ] · For iron rest mat replacement use only original spare parts. · The iron must be used and rested on a stable surface. · When placing the iron on its stand, ensure that the surface on which the stand is placed is stable. ENGLISH The user is responsible for delivering the appliance to an appropriate collection facility at the end of its useful lifespan. Appropriate separate collection to permit recycling, treatment and environmentally compatible disposal helps prevent negative impact on the environment and human health and promotes recycling of the materials making up the product. Open the roller shutter cover (13) by moving it downwards as shown (fig. Pull the tank cap (1) upwards and fill the tank with about 1 litre of water, making sure that it does not overflow (fig. 3). For this reason your Vaporella may contain a small quantity of remaining water in the boiler. CORRECT USE OF THE PRODUCT This appliance is intended for home use as a steam generator iron as described and in accordance with the instructions provided in this manual. VAPORELLA FOREVER CLEAN 4a. Insert the removable supply cable plug (9) into the built-in socket on the appliance (fig. 4). Plug the appliance into an earthed power supply of the correct voltage (fig. IMPORTANT: always make sure that the "continuous steam jet" button (10a) is not switched on. The sound emitted on switching on your appliance and periodically during use, is due to the water refilling system and is quite normal. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE Check the manufacturer's label on the garment, and interpret the symbol on the label as follows: Steam ironing allowed--set the dial to its MAXIMUM travel at the end of the 3 dots symbol on your Polti iron Steam ironing allowed--set the dial to its MAXIMUM travel at the end of the THREE (nb THREE, not two) dots symbol on your Polti iron DRY IRON only, with iron dial set at one dot. NEVER CALL FOR STEAM BY PRESSING STEAM REQUEST BUTTON when DRY ironing. Neither steam nor dry ironing allowed. STEAM IRONING 1b. For STEAM ironing, turn the dial (7) and set the iron to its MAXIMUM travel on the "COTTON - LINEN" steam position (fig. 7). NB Set at its maximum, do NOT set against the picture of iron on the dial (7). Most fabric types, other than delicates can be STEAM-ironed at this temperature, please consult the garment label. If you want to DRY iron, set the dial (7) to the required temperature for the fabric as shown on the dial. Nb fabric indications on the dial are for 31 DRY IRONING If you need to DRY iron (ONLY) (NOT steam ironing), press the iron switch (3) and adjust the iron temperature by turning the dial (7) to the temperature required for the fabric (as shown on the dial). NOTE: · The steam pressure indicator (5) may go on and off from time to time during use of Vaporella. This indicates the machine maintaining the correct and constant pressure and is quite normal. [. . . ] This appliance may be fitted with a non rewirable plug, if it is necessary to change the fuse in a non rewirable plug the fuse cover must be refitted. If the fuse cover is lost or damaged, the plug must not be used until a replacement, available from the appliance manufacturer, is obtained. It is important that the colour of the replacement fuse cover corresponds with the colour marking on the base of the plug. If the plug requires to be changed because it is not suitable for your socket, or becomes damaged, it should be cut off and an appropriate plug fitted following the wiring instruction (below).
