The ironing board you chose is a perfect complement to the steam produced by your iron. Its strong metal frame can be adjusted in height and has a wide work surface treated with an anticorrosive. [. . . ] · Do not use electric extension leads that are not authorized by the manufacturer, as they may cause damage or fire. · ATTENTION: if you iron sitting down, do not place your legs under the ironing board, the steam can cause burns. · Activate the automatic closing hook lever (B) only if the board is resting horizontally on the ground; pay attention during board opening and closing procedures and always guide the board up from the floor. · If in the future you need replace the ironing board fabric cover or the lining, always be sure that the replacement is permeable to humidity. · WARNING: The heated surface (ON LUX MODEL ONLY)reaches high temperatures both on and under the cloth, so take care not to touch it. Press the general/board heating switch (D), wait for a few minutes to reach working temperature (model Lux only). Notice: To avoid condensation forming inside the board, please ALWAYS use the suction function during steam ironing. CLOSING 1c. NOTICE (only mod. Lux): before putting away the board, leave the board heating (D) switched on for a few minutes so as to dry out any possible condensation formed during the ironing. Pull upwards the opening lever (B), always holding the board surface (A) during closing. For storage the equipment can stand up by itself in a vertical position. TRASPORT I M P O R TA N T · If repairs or replacement parts are required, use only original Polti replacement parts. · If it is necessary to replace the power supply cable, please refer to the nearest Polti authorised service centre, since the use of special tool is necessary. · In the case of breakdown or malfunction do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself but refer to your nearest authorised service centre. TO OPEN THE BOARD 1a. Pull upwards the opening lever (B) and raise the board to the required height, holding the surface (A). Introduce the thread stand bar (K) into the fitted housing. CARE OF YOUR APPLIANCE · Before attempting any maintenance operation, be sure to always disconnect the appliance from the mains. 19 ENGLISH The board can be easily transported thanks to its convenient wheels (L), by raising from the opposite side and pushing.
