Any use which does not comply with these instructions will invalidate the warranty. The wiring system to which the appliance is connected must always comply with the laws in force. Before connecting the appliance, make sure that the mains voltage is the same as the voltage indicated on the data label of the appliance and that the power outlet is connected to earth Always turn off the appliance at the on/off switch before unplugging it. [. . . ] · From the control panel: Press the ON push-button (8) and hold it down for a few seconds. The suction fan will start to run at the lowest speed, and the first level of the suction UP indicators (10) will stop flashing and remain steadily lit. · From the handle: press the push-button (A4) on the handle (A2). The suction fan will start to run at the lowest speed, and the first level of the indicators (10) will stop flashing and remain steadily lit. ENGLISH MONDIAL VAP SPECIAL TOP SPECIAL TOP MONDIAL IMPORTANT CAUTION: Suction function should be used to pick up liquids/wet substances only, NOT for collecting dry dirt. Operation with steam only · Press the main switch (1) below the control panel. The first level of the suction UP indicators (10) will start to flash. NOTE: The steam/water push-button (35) must be set on "steam", and the indicator (37) must be green. 1 for curtains 2 for sofas and cushions 3 for carpets 4 for hard floors and for collecting liquids Use of the suction controls on the control panel Press the suction ON/UP push-button (8) and the suction DOWN push-button (9) to control the suction power of your Mondial Vap. Each time you press the suction UP push-button (8) the suction power will increase and one of the suction UP indicators (10) on the control panel will light up. Each ENGLISH MONDIAL VAP SPECIAL TOP SPECIAL TOP MONDIAL time you press the suction DOWN push-button (9) the suction power will decrease. If you keep the suction ON/UP push-button (8) pressed for a few seconds the suction will stop. Use of the suction controls on the handle Simply press the suction push-button (A4) once to start suction. You can select the speed required for the kind of surface to be treated by keeping the suction push-button (A4) pressed. When you increase the suction power one more of the indicators (10) on the control panel lights up, and when you lower it one of the indicators (10) goes off. NOTE: when you switch on suction, the appliance will start at the speed it was before switching off. CABLE WINDER Before putting away your Mondial Vap, wind the power cable onto the pins provided for this purpose (11) proceeding as follows: · Push the winder pins outwards (11) (Fig. ACCESSORIES CONNECTION All Mondial Vap accessories can be used together. To connect the accessories to the steam handle proceed as follows (fig. 10): · Move the accessories locking button (C) to the "OPEN" position (C1). · Move the accessories locking button (C) back to the position "CLOSED" (C2). · Check that the locking button has engaged and the accessory is fully connected. SUCTION When the water in the filter is very dirty it should be replaced as described in the sec47 tion "Emptying and cleaning the water container". [. . . ] To connect the lance to the 120° accessory screw it on the 120° accessory, as you screw the coloured brushes. · 120° vacuum-steam nozzle (M), recommended for removing dirt from narrow surfaces such as the spaces between tiles, door jambs, shutters, etc. SMALL STEAM-SUCTION A C C E S S O RY ( N ) Use of this accessory is recommended on various type of medium-sized surfaces or for washing textile surfaces such as sofas, mattresses and so on, using the following fittings supplied with it: · the squeegee fitting (O) is recommended for small mirrors, small windows, reinforced concrete and glass walls, etc. . · the brush fitting (P) is recommended for carpets, stairs, the interiors of cars, textile surfaces in general, and for removing animal hairs from these surfaces.
