TURNING OFF THE SCALE Automatically If you turn on the scale and do not weigh anything for a few seconds, the scale will go off automatically to save the battery. If you weigh something and then leave the scale without adding or removing anything for a few seconds, it will go off automatically. Manually You may also turn off the scale when you wish by pressing "ON/TARE/OFF". If weight exceeds this capacity by more than 1%, the display will read "EEEE". Remove the battery if you will not be using the scale for a long time. Make sure that no heavy objects are stored on top of the scale when you put it away. This appliance is manufactured in compliance with current recycling regulations. Do not dispose of protective packaging material with household waste, but take it to a collection facility.
