[. . . ] Please read the following instructions before use: · Use only with the Plantronics CA40 DECT Adapter and the Siemens optiPoint500 telephone with acoustic adapter. ⷠTo reduce the risk of electrical shock, do not disassemble this product yourself. ⷠKeep all products, cords and cables away from operating machinery. These instructions assume you have already installed your CA40 DECT Adapter in accordance with the instructions detailed in the CA40 DECT Adapter Quick Start Guide. The AP-1 automatically handles hookswitch control so there is no longer any need to remove/replace the handset when placing a call. To place or receive a call use the CA40 DECT Adapter Talk or Headset Buttons  the CA40 DECT Adapter Quick Start and main User Guide provide full details on their operation.
