[. . . ] Indd 3 10/11/11 3:48 PM EN Please read the ‘Important information’ leaflet and the user manual before you use the appliance. Indd 4 10/11/11 3:48 PM EN Fill the water tank with tap water or tap water mixed with demineralised water. Caution: Do not add perfume, vinegar, starch, descaling agents, ironing aids or other chemicals to avoid damage to your iron. [. . . ] Solution If the pumping sound continues nonstop, switch off the steam generator and remove the plug from the wall socket. Wait until the ‘steam ready’ light lights up continuously. Insert the plug in the wall socket and press the on/off button to switch on the appliance. The steam generator has switched off/the light in the on/ off button flashes. The auto-off function/eco mode is activated automatically when the steam generator has not been used for more than 10 minutes. When you start steam ironing and when you continue steam ironing after an interruption, the steam that was still present in the hose has cooled down and condensed into water. The wet spots that appear on your garment after you have steam ironed for some time may be caused by steam that has condensed onto the ironing board. After a few seconds, steam instead of water comes out of the soleplate. To prevent wet spots due to condensation, steam iron the fabric first and then dry iron it for a short time to dry the fabric and the ironing board cover underneath. You can also add an extra layer of felt under the ironing board cover to prevent condensation on the ironing board. The water droplets stop coming out of the soleplate when you have used the steam boost function for some time. Water spots appear on the garment during use of the steam boost function. The water spots on your garment are caused by condensation in the supply hose. When the supply hose cools down, the steam that is still present in the hose cools down and condenses into water. [. . . Indd 35 10/11/11 3:48 PM Specifications are subject to change without notice. [. . . ]
