The Special Effect mode enables you to take pictures using these filters. You cannot use the digital zoom in Special Effect mode. 4 Taking Pictures Taking Pictures Using the Posterization filter ( ) Posterization is an effect that uses a limited range of color tones and enables you to take posterization-type pictures. 1 2 3 4 Press the MODE button in Capture mode. The Mode Palette appears. Use the four-way controller (2345) to select (Special Effect). Press the OK button. The Special Effect screen appears. Press the MENU button in Movie mode. The [A Rec. Mode] menu appears. 4 Taking Pictures Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Movie]. Press the four-way controller (5). The Movie screen appears. Use the four-way controller (23) to select [Time-lapse Movie]. Movie A pull-down menu appears. Use the four-way controller (23) to change the time-lapse setting. You can choose from [Off], [×2], [×5], [×10] and [×20]. Time-lapse Movie x20 x10 x5 x2 Off MENU Cancel OK OK Press the shutter release button halfway. The camera is ready to record a time-lapse movie. Press the shutter release button fully. Recording of a time-lapse movie starts. Stops recording movie. · Off (×1) is the normal setting for movies (approximately 30 frames per second). Each time ×2 or ×5 is selected, the number of frames taken per second is reduced to 1/2 or 1/5. · As movies are normally played back at the rate of approximately 30 frames per second, movies taken at ×2 appear to be played back at twice the normal speed and movies taken at ×5 appear to be played back at five times the normal speed. · Sound cannot be recorded.
