How to insert a cadastral parcel To insert a cadastral parcel press button and, from pull down menu, select the item Parcel. On command line the tool asks to specify the name to set to the parcel. Later on, it will asks to specify the topographic points delimiting it. When the parcel start vertex is indicated again the command will interrupt automatically. How to draw orthogonal polylines To insert a drawing line or polyline press Line or Polyline. button and, from pull down menu, select the item The tool asks to indicate the points among which to build the line or polyline; it is possible either to indicate the point on screen or to retrieve a topographic point by entering in its name on command line. How to draw orthogonal polylines To insert a polyline with segments that are orthogonal to each other as to a predefined alignment press the item and, from pull down menu, select the item Polyline Ortho. The tool asks to indicate the two points that form the reference alignment; it is possible either to indicate the points on screen or to retrieve the topographic points by entering in their name on command line. Once the reference alignment has been indicated, the command line will change as follows: The tool asks to indicate the position of the next point as to the first reference point; the next point can be indicated in two ways: Manual and from Graphic. Direction can be controlled by clicking on button, which can change its status into and if you click on it. the segment is inserted along the direction of the reference alignment. Press button to confirm the segment insertion; the tool goes on, allowing to specify the following segments. Select the kind of line from the list or press Linetype button. How to modify a layer In order to modify an existing layer select it from layer table and then press Modify button or press Enter button on device keyboard (if available). The same window will appear, where the layer was created; modify data and press confirmation button. How to make a layer current In order to make a layer the current one, select it from layer table and press Current button. The icon will move to the layer selected. How to change the layers visibility In order to change a layer visibility status it is sufficient to select it from the table and then press On/Off button. If the layer was off it will be turned on, if it was on it will be turned off. All On and All Off buttons allow to turn on and turn off all the layers. 75 CAD settings Among the work general settings there are some concerning the graphic CAD and allowing to make entities visible/invisible as well as to check different display parameters. It is possible to have access to CAD settings directly from the graphic window, by pressing button and from pull down menu, by selecting the item CAD Properties. This page mainly allows to set the entities to be displayed in the graphic window. Point elevation: displays the point elevation beside the point itself. By using button or the local menu the topographic point can be selected either from the graphic window or from the table of points.
