The rotation switch indicator light will light up and the humidifier will start to spray over a 360º area. If it is necessary to carry out any maintenance work, this should be done by professionals. Switch the appliance off and unplug it from the power supply before adding water, cleaning or moving the humidifier. Any modification or repair to the humidifier carried out by the user could cause discomfort or physical harm to other users. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or his authorised technical service agent or by a qualified technician, so as to avoid any danger. Children must be supervised to ensure they do not play with the appliance. Ultrasound effect in the Humidifier: Once the appliance is switched on and working, the vaporiser vibrates at a very high frequency. This enables the ultrasound to be created, due to the mechanical energy produced. The vaporiser converts water to vapour, which is sprayed into the room and in so doing increases the ambient humidity. Maintenance and cleaning Before cleaning the appliance, be sure to switch the unit off and unplug it from the power supply. In some areas the water tends to be hard, with high levels of calcium and magnesium ions, while in other areas water purifying agents are used such as calcium chloride. Consequently, when using the humidifier some calcium and magnesium ions may be sprayed together with the water vapour and will be dispersed over surfaces, forming a type of "white dust". some ions will be deposited on the surface of the transducer and the water tray and will form scale due to the impurity of the water. To clean the water tank (once every two weeks): remove the cover from the water tank, clean the inside with a soft cloth and scrub it with pure water.
