Then the LCD will return to off, except the temperature indicator (°C/ °F), which will be flashing. Insert the tip of the Salinity Sensor into the liquid you want to measure until the sensors are immersed. The Salinity Sensor will start measuring the salinity and temperature of the liquid, during which time the salinity indicators on the LCD screen will light up one by one, and the temperature display will blink. If the measured temperature is out of this range the temperature display will continue to flash. The Salinity Sensor is permanently set for °F or °C at the factory. The display screen will continue to show the salinity and temperature reading from the liquid just measured. The sensor will also turn itself off automatically if left idle for thirty seconds. Applicable liquid temperature : 30°C ­ 70°C (86°F ­ 158°F) Temperature measuring range : -5°C ­ 100°C (23°F ­ 212°F) Response time: Maximum liquid temperature Power approx. 5 seconds : 212°F ( sensor in the liquid not exceed 1 minute) : 4 x LR43 1. 5V batteries SPECIAL CAUTION This product is designed for use with liquids only--not intended for use as a medical diagnostic tool for children or adults.
