[. . . ] * The original and copy paper must be A3 and A4R. q Copied The original to be copied onto the front cover is read first. The paper onto which it is copied will come out in the front cover position after the copies are finished and folded in the center. q Blank When the finished copies are folded in the center, both the front and back covers come out blank. 1. The booklet + cover copy mode setting screen will appear. 38 FUNCTIONS 4. Press the cursor down or up key to select whether to copy onto the front cover or not. When copying onto the front cover, set the 2-page original that will be the front cover on the platen. When no copying is performed onto the front cover, set the 2-page original that will be the first page. When finished scanning, replace the original and scan accordingly. 12. Copying will start. (13) Making image overlays [Form overlay] This mode can be used to read the first original into memory and have its image laid over onto copies made from subsequent originals. The exposure of overlaid image can be adjusted. 39 FUNCTIONS 1. Press the cursor down key to select "OVERLAY", and press the enter key. Press the cursor down or up key to select the copy exposure of the overlay original. The exposure level can be selected from 10 steps between 10% and 100%. Make sure that "ENTER" has been selected and press the enter key. 6. * If originals are set in the DF, set the image overlay original as the first sheet. * If originals are set on the platen, set the image overlay original first. 7. * If originals are set in the DF, all originals are scanned one by one and copying performed accordingly. * If an original is set on the platen, go to the next step. 40 FUNCTIONS 8. Replace the original after one original has been scanned, and press the Start key. * If more originals are to be copied, set other originals in the same manner. (14) Inverting black and white [Invert copy] Black and white areas of the image are inverted (reversed) when copied. Make sure that "ENTER" has been selected and press the enter key. The message display will return to the "READY TO COPY. " screen. (15) Making mirror image copies [Mirror image mode] This mode can make mirror image copies. Make sure that "ENTER" has been selected and press the enter key. [. . . ] q Multi-Bypass The multi-bypass described on page 8 and page 12 (/ on page 8) is an optional equipment. When copying onto transparencies or paper which cannot be set in the drawer, install the multi-bypass. When using the hand-out mode (page 27) or the sheet copy (page 29), install the multi-bypass. q Program mode Up to three combinations of copy modes and functions can be registered in the program mode (page 45 and page 46).
