FACTORY-INSTALLEDPOWERTRANS-CAPMODULEREQUIRED Thefactory-installedPowerTrans-CapmoduleMUSTbeusedwithbrushless &brush-typemotors. If Trans-Cap module becomes dented or damaged, ESC failure can occur--replace immediately. Longer Trans-Cap module wires will decrease performance. 4. CHECKFORPROPERGEARING Refertothe`PROPER GEAR SELECTION'portionofthePROGRAMMING/ GEARING Sheet(Pg. 5)todeterminepropergearing&avoidoverheating. 5. SOLDERMOTORPOWERWIRESTOMOTOR *Skip this step if installing complete system with ESC factory-wired to motor. Cut the BLUE, YELLOW & ORANGE silicone motor power wires to the desiredlength, andstrip1/8-3/16"ofinsulationfromtheendofeachwire. Tightlytwisttheexposedstrandsofwire, andtintheexposedendsection ofeachwirewithsolderusingagood, highheatiron. Solder the ESC's BLUE Phase `A' motor wire to the motor's phase `A' solder tab. Applyheattoexposedwirewithsolderingiron, andaddsolder tothetipoftheiron&thewire--Addjustenoughsoldertoformaclean& continuousjointfromthesoldertabupontothewire.
