[. . . ] Recorded tips for many titles are available on Nintendo's Power Line at (425) 885-7529. This may be a long-distance call, so please ask permission from whoever pays the phone bill. If the information you need is not on the Power Line, you may want to try using your favorite Internet search engine to find tips for the game you are playing. Some helpful words to include in the search, along with the game's title, are: "walk through, " "FAQ, " "codes, " and "tips. [. . . ] Using Your Sonar Press or or touch your character on the Touch Screen to activate the sonar. If Press properly positioned, you can dig up and acquire buried fossil rocks. You can also swing your pickax to destroy some objects such as rocks and stumps. â· Try not to position the character directly over the fossil rock when swinging the pickax. Position the character with the dot immediately in front of the character's position. You use three types of tools to clear away the rock from the fossil rock displayed on the bottom screen. Using the X-ray Touch the X-ray to reveal an outline of the fossil inside the fossil rock for a short time. As you clean, the blue meter will increase, but damaging the fossil will make the red meter increase. The greater the area of the blue meter, the higher the point value and the stronger your vivosaur will become. Using the Hammer Select the hammer and touch the fossil rock to break rock in a wide radius around the point of contact. â· The hammer is powerful and should be used carefully to not damage fossils. Using the Drill Select the drill and touch the fossil rock to remove rock little by little. â· The drill is well-suited for fine rock removal, but be warned that it is much slower than the hammer. Try to clear away the rock surrounding the fossil without damaging the fossil. Your cleaning will have been a success if the blue meter is over the line when time runs out or if you successfully remove all rock from the fossil. As soon as the red meter crosses the line, however, your cleaning will instantly be a failure and you will lose that fossil rock. You can clear away rock debris created by the drill by blowing on the microphone or pressing or repeatedly. Note: Rock debris can be cleared away by blowing very lightly on the microphone. Be warned that repeatedly blowing hard can cause dizziness or a feeling of illness. If you successfully clean a head part, you can bring that dinosaur back to life. " The higher the point value you achieve when cleaning the fossil, the stronger your vivosaur. Your revived dinosaur can then be used as a vivosaur in Fossil Battles. [. . . ] When fossil rocks have been fired, the number of Incoming Fossil Rocks will increase. For haiku you want to save, touch it or press to select a haiku and lock it so it won't be deleted automatically. Note: You can load only previously identified fossil rocks into the Fossil Cannon, and only up to eight at a time. Tag Mode uses DS Wireless Communications (DS Wireless Play) to trade fossil rocks with other Fossil Fighters players in a more indirect fashion. [. . . ]
