Manual abstract: user guide NILFISK 3151

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] The operational safety of the machine in your possession is entrusted to those who work with it each day. These persons must therefore have detailed information about how to correctly use, operate, service and repair the vacuum. This manual has been compiled in order to inform machine users about the prescriptions and basic regulations able to ensure their safety and allow the vacuum to remain in a good working condition for the longest possible time. Personnel authorized to work with the machine must read this manual before the machine is started. [. . . ] The customer is therefore responsible for connecting the motor to the electric panel of the machine in question. Always remove the power plug from the socket before working on electrical parts of the appliance. Proceed in the following way to make sure that the motor spins in the right direction: - place one hand on suction mouth "1". If the hand is blown away from the mouth, this means that the motor is turning in the opposite direction. In this case, disconnect the machine from the electricity main and invert two of the three live wires in the electric plug with each other. The operator must check that all the guards are mounted and that the safety devices are installed and efficient. - Make sure that the mains connection values correspond to the voltage and frequency values given on the data plate indicated in sect. - If the vacuum cleaner is without main switch "2" (optional), comply with the above described procedure and move the main switch from position "0" (off) to position "1" (on). Turn off the magnetothermic protector switch (if installed) and remove the plug from the socket. 2, stop it by moving the main switch from position "1" (on) to position "0" (off). Note When the vacuum is not used, leave main switch "2" in position "0" (off) and the mains isolator disconnected. The snap-fitting is shaped so that the pipe can turn, thus preventing it from becoming twisted (only for the models 3151 and 150/36). Do not allow them to become bent or twisted as this will cause easy wear and clogging. Note Periodically check the quantity of vacuumed product in the waste container since this could clog the primary filter if excessive. Clean the primary filter if the filtering capacity becomes notably reduced during work. - Switch off the vacuum then remove the plug from the electric socket. - Lower stop "2" which holds the knob down in the stretched filter position. - Wait a few minutes for the dust to deposit at the bottom of the container, then empty this as described in paragraph 6. Note The suction pipe or one of the accessories may be clogged, and not the filter. The operator must wear breathing apparatus, gauntlets and protective clothing, to empty the container when the machine has been used to vacuum harmful substances. Check the amount of waste in the container according to the job in hand and to prevent it from becoming excessively full. Turn off the vacuum cleaner by removing the plug from the power socket (mod. [. . . ] 3151T - 3101T - 3151T - Open control box "5" and slacken off core hitch "6". Disconnect the three mains wires and the "yellow-green" ground wire from the terminal strip. - Remove the old cable and replace it with a new one of identical characteristics. - Remount the demounted parts proceeding with the demounting instructions in reverse.
