[. . . ] Once you have highlighted your selection, click on the `OK' button. 8. This only comes up the first time a source is analyzed by Nero Recode. You can preview the source video while it's being analyzed to insure it's the video you wish to work with. And there is a graphical display window that will display the compression ratio on the source video selected. [. . . ] Now you will notice that we have two buttons for settings, and settings. Nero Recode has preset profiles that control these settings automatically. This expands the window so you can view and change some advanced settings. Currently we provide you with a default `Title import profile'. This controls what audio files and subtitles, etc are added to the project when you add a Title Movie. Under the `Video' tab, you can choose where and how to assign the best quality to Titles that are imported. And you can choose if you wish to keep the Menus from imported Titles. 23. Now click on the tab, and now you can select what audio languages to add or remove. And last you can configure the `Subpicture' options, or commonly referred to as Title you are working with. By default we select all tracks if the subtitle of your choice is not on the source button, you can add more 25. If you selected the button in the profiles window, it will bring up the `Select Tracks' window. Here you can select those languages you wish to add to your profile and have added if detected on the Title movie's you import into Nero Recode. This will provide you a list of profiles for Video and Audio settings based on the platform you will be using the MP4 video on. For DVD Players or home use you should select `Home Theater' or `High Definition TV' profiles; for cell phones and pocket PC use you would select `Portable' or `Handheld' profiles; and for play back on your computer you would select `Maximum Definition' or `Home Theater' profiles. Based on the profile you select, the video and audio configurations will be changed automatically. 29. To see the changes you Nero Digital Profile makes, select either or buttons. 30. If you select the button, it will bring up the `Nero Digital Video Settings' window. Here you can see how it pre-configures the Deinterlace, Cropping, and Resize options for you. Continued: 31. If you selected the button, you can see how the Nero Digital Profile you selected pre-configures the Audio settings for you. Which you can modify if you prefer, though we recommend using the pre-configured settings for optimum performance and space usage. 32. You can select an existing folder to use as a temp directory, or create a new folder using the button to create a new folder to use as a temp directory.
