Installing the NEC CD-RW Software 1 The NEC CD-RW Software CD The NEC CD-RW software CD contains two applications, Easy CD Creator and DirectCD, which need to be installed so you can use the CD-RW functions of the CD-RW drive. The following sections provide the installation instructions for the applications. Installing Easy CD Creator Easy CD Creator is an application that allows you to create data and audio CDs. Follow these steps to install Easy CD Creator. 1. Insert the NEC CD-RW software CD into the CD-RW drive. The Choose Destination Location dialog box appears with the default path as C:\Program Files\Adaptec. T T 7. A dialog box appears asking if you want to install Adobe Acrobat Reader to access the Quick Reference Guide. T T 9. Click No if Acrobat Reader is already installed on the system. Click Yes to install Acrobat Reader (it installs after the system restarts). You can either select DirectCD or Exit. T T Select DirectCD to continue. Select Exit and click Finish if you want to install DirectCD at a later time. The system restarts and Acrobat Reader installs (if you selected Yes in step 8, above).
