If your television set has one audio input, connect the DVD player to a Y cable adapter (not supplied) and then connect to your TV. If you connect the DVD player to a VCR, the playback picture will be distorted because DVD video discs are copy protected. Change the setting of speaker output in Initial Setup, from Multi-channel to Two channel. (Refer to page 34) The North American version is also equipped with Component Video Out sockets. Make sure to connect all three sockets to the matching sockets on the TV. Do not connect the T550 to the SCART input and COMPOSITE VIDEO input of the TV at the same time. Do not connect both the coaxial and optical sockets to the same decoder. High volume sound may damage your hearing as well as the speakers.
