Introduction
Thank you for purchasing this Bumper/ Guard for your tiller. [. . . ] IMPORTANT: When removing the engine mounting screws in Step 3, do not allow the engine to move out of position on the left and right side engine support brackets. It is critical to proper belt alignment that the same mounting holes in the engine support brackets be used when installing the bumper mounting screws. Loosen (do not remove) the hex nuts on the four screws that secure the engine to the left and right side engine support brackets. Without moving the engine, remove the four screws, lockwashers and hex nuts. On the left side of the engine, loosely attach the bumper with the two new screws, lockwashers and hex nuts provided in the kit (lockwashers go next to hex nuts). The screws can be installed in either direction, but facing downward is preferred, if room allows.
