[. . . ] If your unit is for use on less than 150 volts, it has a plug as illustrated in sketch A in Figure 1 on page 2. The green-colored rigid ear, lug, or the like, must be connected to permanent ground, such as a properly grounded outlet box. EXTENSION CORDS Use only three-wire outdoor extension cords that have three-prong grounding plugs and grounding receptacles that accept the appliance’s plug. A guard or other part that is damaged should be properly repaired or replaced by an authorized service center unless indicated elsewhere in this manual. The power supply cable should be checked regularly and before using it each time make sure the cable is not damaged or old out. Keep it away from the cutting area, from damp, wet or oily surfaces or with sharp edges and away from heat and fuels. Avoid unintentional starting, don’t carry plugged in hedge trimmer with fingers on both switchs. [. . . ] Use the trimmer only for cutting normal shrubbery found around houses and buildings. To obtain exceptionally level hedges, a piece of string can be stretched along the length of the hedge as a guide. 2) To turn the tool ON, squeeze the both triggers on bail handle and body handle with your fingers at same time.
