[. . . ] INTRODUCTION Welcome to the World of Cub Cadet Yanmar Tractor Thank you for purchasing our tractor product that has been designed and manufactured based on our state-of-the-art technology and rich expertise in developing and manufacturing tractor products. Handle your tractor correctly by following the instructions contained in this Operator’s Manual so that it provides you long years of reliable and faithful service. This manual constitutes an indispensable part of your Cub Cadet Yanmar tractor product. Carefully study this manual to get familiar with the instructions and information contained in it. [. . . ] ●Remember that the braking characteristics differ between the 2-wheel drive and 4-wheel drive modes. ●ALWAYS ensure that the Slow Moving Vehicle (SMV) emblem is on the tractor and is clearly visible. ●Strictly observe all the currently effective local traffic and safety laws and regulations. OPERATE THE TRACTOR ●ALWAYS travel at a speed that allows the tractor to remain controlled and stable. ●Avoid engaging the differential lock while traveling on roads as this can cause the tractor to become uncontrollable. ●While traveling on roads, do not turn the steering wheel suddenly as this can lead the tractor to become unstable and result an extremely dangerous situation. During driving on road with an implement attached to the 3-point hitch, put the 3point hitch control lever in its raised position and lock it with the position stop knob. Do not fully close the hydraulic flow control/stop knob in order to keep any implements in their raised position while the tractor is traveling. ●When driving the tractor on roads, NEVER exceed 10 mph (16 km/h). 3. WARNING Setting the Hydro Static Transmission (HST) pressure release lever to the ON position makes the tractor freely move. ●Do not operate the Hydro Static Transmission (HST) pressure release lever on a slope. Setting the Hydro Static Transmission (HST) pressure release lever to the ON position on the slope makes the axles freely move, so that the tractor will be out of control. ●Before setting the Hydro Static Transmission (HST) pressure release lever to the ON position, park the tractor in a flat place and engage the parking brake securely. OPERATE THE TRACTOR ■ Hydro Static Transmission (HST) Pressure Release Lever Hydraulic pressure in the Hydro Static Transmission (HST) brakes the axles when the engine is not running, so that the tractor cannot be moved. When the hydraulic pressure in the transmission is released by pressing the Hydro Static Transmission (HST) pressure release lever, the tractor can be moved. Fully depress the Hydro Static Transmission (HST) pressure release lever. (A) Hydro Static Transmission (HST) pressure release lever 4.
