Manual abstract: user guide MOUNTFIELD M6

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] 1) Wear strong working gloves during any cleaning, maintenance or adjustment operation on the machine. 2) Remove the grass debris after each cut and mud accumulated inside the chassis to avoid their drying and thus making the next start-up difficult. 4) The paintwork on the inside of the chassis may peel off in time due to the abrasive action of the cut grass; in this case, intervene promptly by touching up the paintwork using a rustproof paint to prevent the formation of rust that would lead to corrosion of the metal. 3b "B" type handle - with height adjustment - Return the lower part of the pre-fitted handle (1) to its working position and lock into place using the lower knobs (2). [. . . ] 4b For a cloth grass catcher, insert the frame (11) into the sack (12) and attach the plastic bars (13) using a screwdriver, as shown in the drawing. The engine is controlled by a dual action switch to prevent starting it accidentally. 1 All operations on the blade should be carried out at a specialized centre. Note for specialized centres: Reassemble the blade (2) as shown in the drawing and tighten the central screw (1) using a torque wrench set to 16-20 Nm. 2 Do not use forced water and avoid wetting the motor or the electrical components. Adjust the tension of the belt with the nut (1) to get the right measurement (6 mm). Turn the adjusting nut (2) so that the wire (3) is slightly loose and the lever (4) is idle. On some models, remove the brake cover (2) and unscrew the pin (3) using the wrench (4) provided; fit the wheels into the required hole (5) and fully tighten the pin (3) using the wrench (4). 3 In power-driven models, draw the lever (1) towards the handle for forward movement. Should you have any doubts or problems, do not hesitate to contact your nearest Service Centre or your Dealer. In this case, do not tilt it more than is strictly necessary and only lift the part furthest away from the operator. Check that both hands are positioned correctly before lowering the lawnmower. 18) Stop the engine and disconnect the power supply cable: before carrying out any work underneath the cutting deck or before unclogging the chute; before checking, cleaning or working on lawnmower; after striking a foreign object. Inspect the lawnmower for damage and make repairs before restarting and operating the lawnmower; if the lawnmower starts to vibrate abnormally, find and remove the cause of the vibration immediately; whenever you leave the lawnmower unattended. 19) Stop the engine: every time you remove or replace the grass-catcher. 20) When mowing, always keep to a safe distance from the rotating blade. 1) Keep all nuts, bolts and screws tight to be sure the equipment is in safe working condition. 2) To reduce the fire hazard, keep the lawnmower, especially the engine, free of grass, leaves, or excessive grease. [. . . ] 4) Periodically check the electric cables and replace them if they are damaged or if the insulation has been damaged. Never touch a badly insulated cable if it still connected to the power supply. For safety reasons, these jobs are best carried out at a specialized centre. 7) For reasons of safety, do not use the equipment with worn cables or damaged parts. [. . . ]
