Electrical requirements Check that the voltage on the rating plate corresponds with your house electricity supply which must be A. C. If the socket outlets in your home are not suitable for the plug supplied with this appliance the plug should be removed and the appropriate one fitted. If you cut off the plug and let go of the cable it will rewind into the machine. [. . . ] F F 2 Press the dust container release catch and lift the dust container away from the product. D D 5 Re-insert the dust container into the product and close the lid to re-fit the product. G G 3 Remove the dust container lid and empty the dirt into the dustbin. E 5 POD CYCLONE VC73115M REV 1 16/12/03 1:21 pm Page 6 Cleaning the dust compartment filter · It is important that filters are cleaned regularly to maintain performance. 1 Remove the dust container from the product as detailed in the previous section. 2 With the dust container lid removed E twist the filter clockwise to remove from the lid. H J H The filter should be regularly washed in cold water and left to air dry before inserting back into the machine. IMPORTANT: The dust container will not lock back onto the machine unless the filter is fitted correctly. 3 Slide the mesh filter from the pleated filter. I Cleaning the exhaust filter The exhaust filter , is located at the back of the cleaner. Allow to dry naturally and ensure it is totally dry before replacing it. I K 4 The filter can be gently knocked against the side of the dustbin to remove excess dust. · Use the crevice tool/brush to remove dirt from between the the pleats. 5 To re-fit the filter, slide the mesh cover back over the pleated filter and screw the filter onto the lid anti-clockwise. J 6 POD CYCLONE VC73115M REV 1 16/12/03 1:21 pm Page 7 IMPORTANT · All filters should be checked regularly for signs of damage, preferably after each cleaning task. · Always disconnect the cleaner from the mains when checking filters. Failure to do so may result in damage to your product. Care and maintenance Your cleaner is manufactured to withstand normal day-to-day use, but an occasional wipe over with a damp cloth will help maintain its good looks. Abrasive cleaners should not be used. Purchasing filters Use original Morphy Richards spares & consumables. These can be purchased by telephoning the Morphy Richards replacement parts line. Storage position · During use the tubes and nozzle can be stored in the park position L for short breaks whilst cleaning.
