To join the extension tubes together, slide one tube into the other until it locks into place. (Fig D) A Do not use any detergents Screw the filler cap (1) clockwise until finger tight. Attaching Hose and Accessories Pull down flap on the front of the machine socket (4). Insert the plug on the end of the hose (7) into the machine socket (4) with button side facing up, and push firmly until it clicks into place. To connect the desired accessory directly to the steam handle, slide the handle into the accessory head until it locks into place. When using the large floor brush (16) (or the triangular brush (23), the brush connector (17) needs to be fitted to the brush first, in order to attach the same to the extension tube. E 4 2. (Fig F) Refilling When the boiler is empty no steam, or poor quality steam is emitted. The boiler needs to be refilled: Switch off the boiler heater by pressing the on/off button (2) If there is pressure in the boiler, the filler cap (1) will revolve but a safety feature prevents it from being unscrewed. Release any steam pressure in the system using the on/off switch (3) on machine and handle (12). Leave the product with the filler cap off for 10 minutes before filling. Use warm water to reduce heat up time Caution: Do not pour cold water into a very hot boiler as steam and hot water may be blown out of the filling hole and can scald!!!Start operation again (SEE OPERATION SECTION ABOVE) Switching the unit OFF Switch the unit off by means of switches (2) and (3). Remove the hose plug (7) from the unit by pressing the button, holding down the socket flap simultaneously. To avoid deforming the brushes (16 & 23), ensure that the brushes are allowed to cool down before storing. F The fit between the connector and the tubes and/or handle is tight to ensure no steam leaks. It is recommended to keep both parts lubricated to facilitate connecting and disconnecting. Use a putty knife to lift the loosened wall paper, and pull it off completely. * These accessories are available as optional extras, if not supplied with your machine.
