[. . . ] Should the fuse in the 13 amp mains plug require changing a 3 amp BS1362 fuse must be fitted. The socket outlet should be installed near the equipment and shall be easily accessible. Installing back-up battery 1 2 3 (not supplied) Remove the battery compartment cover (located underneath the unit) by sliding the cover off. Insert size 9 volts PP3/6LR61 battery and connect to terminals (Ensure battery is inserted correctly). Replace the battery compartment cover. Note: In order to avoid losing alarm settings, turn off the radio before replacing the batteries. [. . . ] Route the cable into the channel at the bottom corner of the base unit. 5 Place the phone on the base unit. Insert the other end of the line cord into a standard BT phone socket. Set up the clock on the base unit as described under switching on and setting the clock. Your Telephone alarm clock is then ready for use. Volume button This switch is used to control the receiving volume. Recall button This telephone is equipped with a recall button. Ensure the station you select will be transmitting at the preset alarm time. Wake up to the alarm buzzer In order to check the correct alarm time has been set press the ALARM button. The buzzer will automatically turn off after 1 hour 59 minutes. 8 To stop the alarm (radio or buzzer) The alarm is programmed to run for 1 hour 59 minutes. 3 To switch the alarm setting off permanently, slide the FUNCTION SELECTOR switch to the `Off' position. Snooze function The alarm can be interrupted for a 9 minute period. 1 Press the SNOOZE button, after 9 minutes the radio or alarm buzzer will sound again. To set the sleep function Your clock radio is equipped with a sleep function that will turn the radio on and switch it off automatically after a set period of time from between 59 minutes to 1 minute. Pressing the hour button will extend the sleep time to 1 hour 59 minutes. 1 Press the SLEEP button and the LED display will show 0:59 sleep time at the same time the radio will come on and stay on for 59 minutes.
