[. . . ] Attach the stubborn dirt brush ~ to the stair tool Ù to attack stubborn ground in dirt D. Attach the upholstery nozzle ¯ to the stair tool Ù for effective upholstery cleaning D. Using & cleaning the turbo nozzle Attach the turbo nozzle Ú to the hose end connector Î only. WARNING: The turbo nozzle should not be used with the extension tubes. Ensure the vacuum cleaner is switched off and the turbo nozzle is detached from the hose. If they are tightly wound around the brush, carefully snip the fibres with scissors, being careful not to damage the brush bar, pull away from the brush bar and dispose. To aid cleaning, the turbo nozzle can be opened up by pushing the button on the nozzle forwards. EMPTYING Empty the dust canister regularly even if it does not look full, this will maintain the performance. 1 Remove the front cover < by lifting the cover release lever ¤ E. Lift-up the dust canister release Ï and pull the canister away from the main body. Turn the lid quarter-of-a-turn anti-clockwise to unlock, lift off the lid with pleated filter Ó, put to one side F. Lift out the central mesh filter Ô from the dust canister Ò G. Empty out the dust canister Ò. F 2 G Ó Using the accessories Attach the crevice nozzle Ê to the hose end connector Î or tubes  to access narrow or hard to reach places. Re-fit pleated filter with lid into the dust canister by lining up the two arrows and turning the lid quarterof-a-turn clockwise to lock. Motor protection filter I The motor protection filter is located underneath the dust canister. 3 Replace the filter I. Ó 10 Re-fit dust canister into cleaner and push to lock into position. 11 Re-fit the front cover. SAFETY CUT-OUT I If the cleaner overheats, a motor protection thermostat will automatically switch the motor off. If this happens, switch the cleaner off, unplug from the power supply and leave the cleaner to cool for at least 60 minutes. Check the airways for blockages, empty the dust canister and clean the filters before restarting. Exhaust filter J The exhaust filter is located below the dust canister compartment. Remove the exhaust filter by pulling forward at the top and lifting it away. Replace the filter and the front cover. J CLEANING THE FILTERS To maintain suction, the pleated filter Ó must be shaken clean each time the dust canister is emptied. Failure to clean the filter will reduce suction and could damage the motor if used for a prolonged period. If the filters become damaged, they must be replaced. 3 4 Changing the belt If the brush bar stops rotating, it is likely that the drive belt has snapped (usually because the brush has been stalled). Replacement belts can also be obtained from Morphy Richards by calling the helpline number at the base of the page. Pleated filter K Clean the pleated filter every time the canister is emptied to maintain high performance.
