NOTE: The tip rate is provided as a reference only. You can manually change the tip and tax rates. Tap the Tip, Tax Calculation button on the WorldMate main menu to open the screen as shown. Tap to select the country you are visiting. Tap to select the service. Tap the input field and tap to enter the bill amount. Tap to include or exclude the item. Total amount Tap to edit the tip rate. Tap to edit the tax rate. 31 3. 11 Calculator Use Calculator to perform the basic mathematical calculations. Tap the Calculator button on the WorldMate main menu to open the screen as shown. Backspace Clear all. Change sign 3. 12 WorldMate Data Update Use the WorldMate data update tool to update the latest weather forecasts and the currency exchange rates to your device. Installing WorldMate Data Update Tool 1. Turn on your computer and insert the Application DVD into the DVD-ROM drive of your computer. Follow the onscreen instructions to complete the installation. 33 Updating the WorldMate Data NOTE: Make sure that Mio Transfer is installed before using the update tool. (See Section 10. 2 for information. ) Make sure that the Internet connection on your computer is available before updating the WorldMate data. 1. Connect the mini-USB end of the USB cable to the bottom of your device and the other end to a USB port on your computer. Click Update Now to start synchronization between your computer and your device. 5. The update process is completed when the progress bar disappears and the Stop Update button changes back to Update Now. 34 4 Contacts 4. 1 Starting and Exiting Contacts Contacts allows you to keep a list of names, addresses, and phone numbers. NOTE: If you have created Microsoft Outlook Contacts information on your computer, you can copy the information to your device. (See section 10. 4 for information. ) Tap the Contacts button on the Home screen to start the program. The contacts list appears. To exit the program, tap . 35 4. 2 Using the Contacts List After starting Contacts, the contacts list appears. It shows the names and phone numbers (mobile phone numbers by default) of your contacts. You can use the various buttons on the screen to search a contact, navigate to the address of a contact and so on. Tap one of the alphabet sets to quickly find a contact. Tap twice to display the summary screen of a contact. Navigate to the address of the selected contact. Delete the selected contact. 4. 3 Using the Summary Screen In the contact list, tapping a contact twice displays the summary screen of the contact. Tap to scroll through the entry fields. Back 36 4. 4 Navigating to a Contact's Address You can set a contact's address as your GPS navigation destination. Tap to select the home address or to select the work address. 4.
