[. . . ] Exclusively designed for the Minolta Maxxum/Dynax 7, this product provides a sure grip and comfortable handling when taking vertically-framed pictures. The VC-7 also allows versatile battery use; choose to power the camera with its own batteries or batteries inside the vertical control grip. [. . . ] â· If the grip is not attached to the camera correctly, the camera will not operate properly when turned on. Turn the power-source switch to select the desired power source either from the camera or the VC-7. The camera's power will be turned off and on whenever a new power source is selected. â· Be sure the power-source switch clicks into position or battery performance may be affected. Turn the grip control switch to ON when taking vertically-framed pictures to activate the grip controls. Use the strap eyelet located near the VC-7's electrical contacts. The neckstrap eyelet near the battery case is for use with the neck strap supplied with the camera. When storing the vertical control grip (not attached to the camera), turn the power-source switch to CAMERA. This prevents a temperature rise in batteries should the grip come in contact with metal or moisture. â· The operating temperature or storage conditions of alkaline batteries may cause the batterycondition indicator on the camera's navigation display to show lower than actual battery condition, even when the battery has sufficient power. [. . . ] 5 lens, exposures taken at a rate of 3 rolls/month for 24 exposure rolls, 2 rolls/month for 36 exposure rolls (Ni-MH batteries: continuous use), lens focused from infinity to 2m three times and the shutter-release button held part-way down for ten seconds before each exposure. ) Specifications are based on the latest information available at the time of printing and are subject to change without notice.
