If necessary, moisten a sheet of lens tissue with one drop of lens-cleaning fluid and gently wipe the lens. ⷠWhen not in use, keep the camera in a cool, dry place away from dust and chemicals. Your camera uses one 3-volt CR123A lithium battery to supply power for all camera operations. Insert the new battery into the battery chamber ­ end first (C). If blinks in the data panel with the other indicators, the battery will need to be replaced soon. When the ready lamp glows brightly with the shutter-release button pressed partway down, press the shutter-release button the rest of the way down to take the picture. Red-eye Reduction When the shutter-release button is pressed partway down, the self-timer/ red-eye reduction lamp on the front of the camera will illuminate to help reduce the red-eye effect in flash pictures. Frame your subject in the viewfinder, then press the shutter-release button partway down. Press the shutter-release button all the way down to take the picture (N). Compose your subject in the viewfinder, then press the shutter-release button all the way down to take picture. Flash Cancel Use flash cancel when photographing twilight scenes or subjects beyond the flash range. Frame your subject in the viewfinder, then press the shutter-release button all the way down to take picture. The self-timer delays release of the shutter for approximately 10 seconds after the shutter-release button is pressed.
