You may already be familiar with using a similar product but do please take time to read these instructions. They are designed to familiarise you with the many features of this unit and to ensure you get the very best from your purchase. Safety is important Your safety and the safety of others is important. [. . . ] The six stations with the highest signal strength are stored in memory . The radio will continuously cycle through the list and play each for a brief period. The stored (preset) position is displayed (flashing) alongside the station frequency. A preset station will be played when a preset button (1 to 6) is pressed. Using PTY to Select Programme This function allows the radio to select stations by their programme type (PTY). When a programme type is selected, the radio starts to search for the selected PTY information and stops when the this information is found. If the selected PTY information is not detected the function automatically ends, PTY NONE will flash on the display, the unit beeps four times and then resumes normal operation. When TA mode is set to on, any transmitted traffic announcement will be heard. If the unit is in CD mode, it will switch temporarily to Radio mode during the announcement. Temporarily switch over to an EON linked station when EON detects a traffic announcement on the other programme. The current traffic announcement is cancelled by pressing the TA button, but the TA mode is not turned off.
