Wipe dry and reassemble in the correct order (see "Cleaning and care"). Metal components have a protective coating which may give off a slight smell when heated up for the first time. The smell and any vapours will dissipate after a short time and do not indicate a faulty connection or appliance defect. 12 Using the gas hob Switching on, Switching off, Control The control is used to switch on the burner and regulate the strength of the flame.
