Using the refrigerator efficiently Different storage zones Due to the natural circulation of the air in the appliance, there are different temperature zones in the refrigerator. Examples of fruit and vegetables which react strongly to the natural gases given off by other types of fruit and vegetables are: Kiwis, broccoli, cauliflower, Brussels sprouts, mangos, honeydew melons, apples, apricots, cucumbers, tomatoes, pears, nectarines and peaches. 22 Adjusting the interior fittings Moving the shelves The shelves can be adjusted according to the height of the food. ^ Pull the shelf forward as far as it will go; then lift it upwards to remove it. ^ With the rear barrier facing upwards, place the shelf at the required position.
