[. . . ] - Freezing small amounts of food Place the food to be frozen in the lower freezer drawers. ΁€ Place the food flat in the bottom of the freezer drawer so that it freezes through to the core as quickly as possible. - Freezing the maximum amount (see data plate) Ensure ventilation slots at the back of the freezer section are always free from obstruction. If the ventilation slots are blocked the cooling performance will decrease and energy consumption will increase. Place food on the glass plate in such a way that the ventilation slots are not blocked. Please note that when removing the drawers, the lowest freezer drawer must always remain in the freezer. ΁€ Place the food flat on the glass cold plates so that it freezes through to the core as quickly as possible. Once frozen:  Place the frozen food in the freezer drawer and push it back in. 29 Freezing and storing food Removing the drawers and glass plates from the freezer section The drawers can be removed for filling, emptying or cleaning purposes. If you wish to freeze large items such as a turkey or game, the glass cold plates between the drawers can be removed. Freezer tray The top freezer drawer in your appliance can be used as a freezer tray. The freezer tray can be used to effectively freeze small items such as berries, herbs, vegetables etc. The food keeps it shape and generally does not freeze together in a lump. Then fill in freezer bags or containers and place in the freezer drawers. ΁€ Pull out the drawers as far as they will go, and then lift them up and out. 30 Freezing and storing food Storage time for frozen food The storage life of food is very variable, even at a constant temperature of -18 °C. Decomposition processes also take place in frozen food, albeit at a very reduced speed. For example fat can become rancid from contact with oxygen in the air. The storage times quoted are guide values for the storage life of different food groups in the freezer section. Flat pieces of partially thawed fish can be placed directly into a hot frying pan. Meat and poultry It is particularly important to observe food hygiene rules when defrosting poultry. [. . . ] ΁€ Remove stopper  from the top of the door and refit it on the opposite side of the door. ΁€ Remove covers  from handle , then unscrew the handle and refit all these parts on the opposite side of the door. ΁€ Take care when refitting covers  that they click into position correctly. ΁€ Refit stoppers  on the opposite side of the door.
