How to patch Patching, basically, involves selecting the source patching connectors in the From section of the Patching screen and then selecting their destination(s) in the To section. Setting up the ID of the DL4n1 units After connecting up your XL8 network system, you will need to set up the ID of the DL431 Mic Splitter, DL451 Modular I/O and DL471 DSP units (if they don't already have the ID you want). This is done via the control panel of the unit -- the following diagram shows the control panel of a DL451 Modular I/O. Each unit's ID number is shown on its default display.
