BOOT C: Windows Software programs Your documents RECOVER D: Drivers for internal Notebook components Installation files for software that came with your Notebook Restore software The Hard drive 41 Appendix Aid Components Handling The hard drive contains the operating system of the computer, other application programs and backup files. These programs and files are pre-installed on your notebook, so you may note that some of the space on your hard drive is already taken. Safety Important Directories The most important directories preinstalled on your notebook are shown below. Do not delete or modify these directories or their contents since data could be lost or the functionality of the system could be at risk.
