This option restarts the navigation system, without reinstallation being necessary. In doing so all programs that are running are interrupted and the working memory is reinitialized. You have two possibilites to reset your device. Reset The following screen will appear if you press the On/Off switch for a short time: If you want to carry out a Reset, tap on . Switching the Device off Completely / Hard Reset Attention!Your navigation system will normally be in the Standby Mode, if you have switched it off by pressing the on/off button briefly. In addition, the system can be switched off completely; the consumption of energy can be kept as low as possible through this. All the data in the temporary memory will be lost if the device is switched off completely (hard reset). Push the Main switch to the position ON again to carry out the Hard Reset. A reinstallation will be necessary after a hard reset if your device has already been equipped with the basic data of the navigation software in the permanent memory at the factory. - 26 UK/ N.
