Ignition Lock There are three different positions for the ignition key: OFF All electric current broken. Make sure that the cutting unit is in the transport position (top position) and that the lever for connection/disconnection of the cutting unit is in the disconnection position. If the engine will not start, wait about 10 seconds before the next try. Let the ignition key return to the "ON" position when the engine has started and (if equipped) push in the choke control as soon as the engine is running smoothly. Move motion control lever to full forward position and hold for five (5) seconds. engage transmission by placing freewheel control in driving position. Drive tractor forward for approximately five feet then backwards for five feet. To ensure proper operation and performance, it is recommended that the transmission be purged before operating tractor for the first time. This procedure will remove any trapped air inside the transmission which may have developed during shipping of your tractor.
