Begin with a high cutting height and reduce until the required cutting result is obtained. If the grass is not too long and thick the drive speed can be increased by selecting a higher gear without affecting the cutting result. Cutting becomes more even and the cut grass is more evenly distributed over the surface. Total time taken is not greater, since higher drive speed can be selected without affecting the cutting results. The cutting results will be worse since the wheels will sink into the soft lawn. € • • Do not drive in terrain at an angle of more than max. € • Drive in right turns so that the cut grass is thrown away from flower beds and paths, etc. For larger lawns the drive direction should be changed after 2-3 turns so that the cut grass is thrown towards the area that has already been cut as shown in the illustration. Use the left side of the machine to cut close to trees, bushes and paths, etc. 37 5 Switching off the engine Move the deck clutch lever to disengaged position. Lift up the mower deck and turn the ignition key to “STOP” position.
