Manual abstract: user guide MARGUET TYPE B-N

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] To ascertain the correct position for the various film sizes, lift the scraping arm (9) and open the movable guide plate (4) and pressure plates (3 and 5). [. . . ] Remove scraping arm (9) and clean waste and dust resulting from scraping with a small dry brush. Apply the film cement very sparingly and take care not to put an excess of cement on the brush, as it may cause the surplus cement to seep along the film surface, making the film itself soft and, when dried, stiff. The cement should be brushed on the portion of the film which has been scraped. Pull down the movable plate (4) and pressure plate (5) sharply, and this will automatically cut off both ends of the film length to be spliced. To accelerate evaporation and drying of the film cement, lift pressure plate (3) and after approximately 20 seconds lift up the visible part of the film, to free it from the positioning pins in the base plate, unlock pressure lever (8) and raise the film guide plate (4) with pressure plate (5). Thereafter release the spliced film from between the film guide plate (4) and pressure plate (5). [. . . ] The groove (7) of the scraper arm notch (11) must be kept clean from surplus scrapings. [. . . ]
