This button is used for advancing to the next step during time adjustment or manual filing, etc. w STANDBY indicator This indicator illuminates red when the unit's status is standby. T V W X Y Z / e RDS indicators These indicators light up when receiving RDS broadcasts. f MEMORY indicator When the MEMO button is pressed, this indicator blinks for about 8 seconds. g PRESET Number indicator Shows the selected preset number. h CHARACTER indicator A variety of information is displayed on this indicator. etc. 4 REAR PANEL FM ANTENNA B 75 FM ANTENNA A 75 AM ANTENNA GND AM LINE OUT REMOTE CONTROL RESET R L q w er t t RESET switch y q FM antenna terminals A/B (75 ohms) Connect an external FM antenna with a coaxial cable, or a cable network FM source. Press this switch gently with the tip of a ballpoint pen or similarly thin object if the tuner does not respond to a button on the front panel. (See page 11. ) w AM antenna and ground terminals Connect the supplied AM loop antenna. The supplied AM loop antenna will provide good AM reception in most areas. Position the loop antenna until you hear the best reception. y Power cable Connect the cable to a household power outlet (230V AC). e LINE OUT (analog output) connectors The audio signals are output from these connectors. r REMOTE CONTROL connector Using the supplied remote control connecting cord, this connector enable this unit to be connected to a Marantz component equipped with remote control connectors. This connection make it possible to control an entire system that centers on the amplifier or other such component. 5 ENGLISH PARTS NAMES AND FUNCTIONS CONNECTIONS Note Connect the tuner to other equipment in the below sequence to use the tuner. Connect the LINE OUT and REMOTE CONTROL connectors to their corresponding terminals on a stereo amplifier using the provided cords. (Turn power to the stereo amplifier OFF before making the connections. ) 4.
