An optional Ni-Cd battery pack (Model RB1100 available from Marantz Professional) will be charged by the built-in charger when the AC adaptor is plugged in. An optional Ni-MH battery pack (Model RB1651 available from Marantz Professional) will be charged by the built-in charger when the AC adaptor is plugged in. The Battery Type setting is used for the battery indicator in the display and "Low Battery" warning. If the setting does not match installed batteries the PMD671 will not show the appropriate battery status.
