The lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of uninsulated "dangerous voltage" within the product's enclosure that may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock to persons. The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important operating and maintenance (servicing) instructions in the literature accompanying the product. Battery Type The PMD671 can operate on 8 standard AA size Alkaline, Ni-Cd or Ni-MH batteries. An optional Ni-Cd battery pack (Model RB1100 available from Marantz Professional) will be charged by the built-in charger when the AC adaptor is plugged in. An optional Ni-MH battery pack (Model RB1651 available from Marantz Professional) will be charged by the built-in charger when the AC adaptor is plugged in. The Battery Type setting is used for the battery indicator in the display and "Low Battery" warning. If the setting does not match installed batteries the PMD671 will not show the appropriate battery status.
