"6. 0 dB" is the maximum level of [Variable] and also the level set for [Fix]. Therefore, when [Variable] is selected, the output level will usually be lower than when the setting is set to [Fix]. · The [Variable] setting has no effect on CD and Video CD playback. · The test tone is not output when the setting is set to [2 Channel] in the [Audio Output] setting (page 33), while the disc tray opens, or while a disc is playing. ADJUSTING AUDIO AND VIDEO SETTINGS 3 Repeat steps 1 and 2 for each speaker in your system. Set to Test tone You can't use the Test Tone function when the [Audio Out] setting is [2 Channel] (page 33). The Test Tone will not work with the disc tray open, or while a disc is playing. Listening to higher quality CD sound (CD Digital Direct) By setting the [CD Digital Direct] setting to [On], internal circuitry unrelated to CD playback can be bypassed to produce a higher quality CD sound. 4 5 Move the cursor control joystic up to select [Gain Setting] and press cursor control joystic right.
