NEVER touch the baking plate or the frame of the appliance when the appliance is functioning or before the appliance has entirely cooled off. [. . . ]  ALWAYS place the appliance on a solid and flat base, such as a kitchen counter or table, so that the appliance won’t move or turn over.  NEVER IMMERSE the appliance, the power cord or the plug in water or any other liquid. NEVER use the appliance if it is damaged, fallen or shows a malfunction, or if the power cord or plug are damaged. In all these cases return the appliance to your sales point or authorized after sales service. Also proceed this way when the appliance is not in use, before cleaning and moving. Put the chosen food on the grill plate or in the pans and put them under the grill.  Do not use sharp utensils to turn or (re)move the food as they could damage the non-stick coating of the plate or pans.  Let the appliance cool off entirely before moving it, removing the baking plate or cleaning it. But if you choose to clean them by hand with hot water and detergent, make sure NEVER to use stiff washing-up brushes, only a soft cloth!  The base and the housing of the appliance can be cleaned with a damp cloth.
