Manual abstract: user guide MAKITA GV7000

Detailed instructions for use are in the User's Guide.

[. . . ] When operating a power tool outside, use an outdoor extension cord marked "W-A" or "W". These cords are rated for outdoor use and reduce the risk of electric shock. Stay alert, watch what you are doing and use common sense when operating a power tool. Do not use tool while tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol, or medication. [. . . ] Maximum operating speed of accessories should be higher 3 Than the highest no load speed marked on the tool's nameplate. Hold tool by insulated gripping surfaces when performing an operation where the cutting tool may contact hidden wiring or its own cord. Contact with a "live" wire will make exposed metal parts of the tool "live" and shock the operator. Check the backing pad carefully for cracks, damage or deformity before operation. Such blades when used on a sander frequently kick and cause loss of control leading to personal injury. Make sure the abrasive disc is not contacting the workpiece before the switch is turned on. Hold the tool so that sparks fly away from you and other persons or flammable materials. Do not touch the workpiece immediately after operation; it may be extremely hot and could burn your skin. Pay attention that the wheel continues to rotate after the tool is switched off. This tool has not been waterproofed, so do not use water on the workpiece surface. Ventilate your work area adequately when you perform sanding operations. Use of this tool to sand some products, paints and wood could expose user to dust containing hazardous substances. CAUTION: Always be sure that the tool is switched off and unplugged before adjusting or checking function on the tool. MISUSE or failure to follow the safety rules stated in this instruction manual may cause serious personal injury. CAUTION: Before plugging in the tool, always check to see that the switch trigger actuates properly and returns to the "OFF" position when released. â· Switch can be locked in "ON" position for ease of operator comfort during extended use. For continuous operation, pull the switch trigger and then push in the lock button. To stop the tool from the locked position, pull the switch trigger fully, then release it. The tool speed can be changed by turning the speed adjusting dial to a given number setting from 1 to 5. Higher speed is obtained when the dial is turned in the direction of number 5. And lower speed is obtained when it is turned in the direction of number 1. Refer to the table for the relationship between the number settings on the dial and the approximate tool speed. [. . . ] If inspection shows the trouble is caused by defective workmanship or material, Makita will repair (or at our option, replace) without charge. This Warranty does not apply where: repairs have been made or attempted by others: repairs are required because of normal wear and tear: the tool has been abused, misused or improperly maintained: alterations have been made to the tool. This Warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state. Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitation or exclusion may not apply to you. [. . . ]
